Developing leadership skills
The Division needs leadership. |
I feel like I'm lost at sea. |
There's no strategy in place. |
A recent survey of 28,000+ global leaders and HR executives showed that over two thirds of companies had no leadership strategy in place. They were 80% less likely to respond effectively to the competitive environment or navigate through complexity with an estimated cost to the UK economy of £28 billion a year. Leaders, and potential leaders, are not given the time to think and improve their decision making.
Gender diversity studies reveal that on average 78% of UK companies pay their men more than their women and most companies have fewer women at the top. High levels of emotional intelligence benefits companies and studies have demonstrated that having women in teams and at higher levels in the organisation results in increased outputs and profits. Yet too many companies are ignoring the potential of women in the workforce and it is costing the UK economy an estimated £32 billion.

The Problem
~ You've been tasked to do something about that expert that's been promoted but isn’t leading, or the Head of Department with leadership potential but not achieving.
~ There is a lack of gender diversity in top positions and there's too few women in the pipeline. ~ There’s major change ahead and you need to know how to manage it. You’re worried about whether you’re making the right decisions and taking the right actions. ~ You’re the CEO with no independent sounding board. You’re swamped with demands made on you and just don’t have time to think strategically or to bring out the best in those surrounding you. ~ The Board has strong personalities with little evidence of emotional intelligence, each are arguing for their own agendas. You need a better gender balance but no one wants to step into that environment. |
