The speaker came to the front and held up a piece of paper with a large black dot in the centre.
"What do you see?" he asked his audience of business executives.
"A black dot," said one.
"A large black dot," said another.
"I too see a black dot," said a third.
There was a general murmur of agreement in the room.
"Yes, there is a black dot," said the speaker. "But none of you have mentioned the white piece of paper. It's that piece of paper that I will be talking about today."
